This WordPress-based e-commerce project was developed following the completion of the NSW TAFE Certificate IV in IT (Web Development). It showcases the practical integration of WooCommerce and related plugins to build a fully functional online shopping platform using industry-standard tools.

Key components include WooCommerce Shipping & Tax for automated cost calculations, WooPayments for secure transactions, and WooCategory for structured product categorization. While the current version is a working prototype, it provides a scalable foundation for future enhancements.

This project represents my first real-world hands-on experience with e-commerce development using WordPress. It blends formal learning from TAFE with self-directed exploration of modern digital commerce workflows and plugin-based architecture.

Planned future upgrades include improving user experience, adding additional payment gateways, enhancing inventory management, and incorporating more advanced features such as abandoned cart recovery and customer account dashboards.

Developed independently, this project reflects my initiative to apply and expand the web development skills acquired through the TAFE program, using real-world technologies widely adopted in today’s e-commerce industry.
